FILMMAKING
I have made short improvised films that include a poverty row camp fantasy Ballgowns and Gasmasks , filmed theatre productions including Other Rooms at Theatro Technis, a documentary about the Gate Film Studios at Elstree/Borehamwood before it was demolished in 2005, gig performances by musicians including Kiria at Madam Jo Jos , The Rapture and Hidden Cameras at Bartfly and a short 2011 film Mike ArlenTalks focusing on the life of a seminal British nude male photographer from the pre digital era of magazine publishing. These films were made independently on various camcorders over the years through to current mobile phone cameras.

MY LOVE OF CINEMA
As a long time lover of film that links to my childhood/teenage years watching hours of cinema in a New Zealand Air Force base cinema , I rate meeting my idol Douglas Sirk a memorable experience in London during 1972 and was on the crew of Tony Williams' LOST IN THE GARDEN OF THE WORLD 1976 which involved figures from the film world including Paul Bartel, Martin Scorsese, Tobe Hooper, Dustin Hoffman, Steven Spielberg and Werner Herzog.
